Simple Woman's Daybook 10/10

Loving the fall temperatures...  had our first light frost this past week!

Head over to The Simple Woman to see the other SWD posts!

For Today

Looking out my window
11:15 am, 61 degrees, mostly sunny, wind gusting to 30 mph.

I am thinking
Thinking about the upcoming important things... like my husband's birthday on the 19th, and my leaving for a trip to Ohio with a friend on the 22nd.

I am thankful
For harvest time, my husband is working every day right now.

One of my favorite things
This week - it's been listening to the cackling of the pheasants in the milo field across the road.

I am wearing
My favorite sweatshirt (which I just noticed when taking it out this year that it's getting just a little worn around the edges, lol) jeans, bare feet

I am creating
Last year my  "scrap afghan" was small granny squares, that will (eventually!) have a flannel backing... this year its an afghan made with crocheted yo-yos!

I am reading
Our bible study is between books right now, we start Judges on the 17th. I've been reading a few books online, and blogs, but nothing other than that...

I am hoping praying
for Rick to find a permanent job and us to find a home soon! (I know I sound like a broken record, but I also know that God is working in our behalf and I NEVER give up hope!)

In my kitchen
The propane regulator is still out, so nothing fancy or special.

Board room
This sweatshirt is SO ME!! LOL... the pin has the link to the website that sells it, if it sounds like you too (no affiliate link, just sharing a fun shirt)

Shared Quote
"He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together." Colossians 1:17
Does anyone need the reminder that He can hold you together?

A moment from my day
The sun shining through the clouds this morning...

  1. Hello Anita, I'm coming to you from Simple Woman's Daybook link. I enjoyed your post -- what caught my eye was your comment about the cackling pheasants (what fun), the colourful yoyo crochet project, and the beautiful sky photo.

I see we share a love for God and I add a little prayer that you and your family will find that new place to call home. Wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places.
